This hive mind creates the ability to instantly and silently communicate with each other. Their power is strongest when all three of them are in direct contact with each other, and fades in proportion to how far apart they are, and how many of them there are. Their telepathic powers are strong for their age, helped by the fact they do not have the power of one, but three. They can easily send and receive messages, and can usually pry information from anything but a heavily guarded, well trained mind. They have also slowly been working on actively using the ability to control targets. Thus far it has been used more along the lines of unconsciously giving a target the impression they want to do something for the girls, when they wanted something. They haven't focused it to outright control yet, and it's yet to be seen how much that will be approved of at Xavier's. Physically, they have the disadvantage of glowing eyes when they use their powers. Also, a secondary mutation that they have developed is the ability to transform their bodies into flawless diamonds. While in their diamond forms, nothing is allowed in or out, including thoughts. The only telepathic power they maintain in this form is their connection to each other. History: Unknown to them, the three Cuckoo triplets are actually three of many, many clones of Emma Frost. They were created in experiments by the government to mimic and try to control mutant abilities. The only three of these multiple clones to be put into service, so to speak, the three triplets were implanted in a woman and her husband who were trying to conceive with the help of a fertility clinic, well aware of how common multiple births were from such procedures. So when the three identical triplet were born to the fairly normal Cuckoo family, nothing was thought out of place. However, it wasn't long before things did seem to be out of place. Although it isn't abnormal for children from multiple birth set to be connected together at an deep level, the Cuckoo triplets took this to an extreme. Things like talking in unison, moving in unisons, and finishing each other's sentences weren't quirks, they were constants. When the children started responding to things that weren't spoken out loud, or one would know what only the other had been told, their parents realized their children were VERY different from normal triplets. Not sure how to deal with it, and figuring that, generally, the children came across as strange but human, they just kept them to normal schools. During middle school, the girls' powers began to peak, communication between the three becoming less and less verbal, and their telepathy stronger. However, the last straw came when the triplets were cornered for their unnerving behavior. When push came to shove, the girl's shoved back, body's morphing into solid diamond. Needless to say their shove was a bit harder, and after the dust cleared, their parent gave up on trying to keep their abilities hush hush, instead finding the Xavier institute to ship them off too. As a separate entity, there isn't much to say about Celeste yet. She's the oldest by a handful of minutes, and when rolls are needed to be taken, she tends to be the leader, but only when the situation forces a need for a leader. Most other places she departs from her sisters are small, inconsequential things, such a preference for certain foods or colors over others. PB: Gemma Ward Writing Sample: Celeste walked around her new room, pulling away from her two sisters to survey things. The room only had two twin beds...they had already spoken to the woman in charge about either getting a third, the preferred course of action, or a bunk bed. The thought of one of them rooming apart, with another person, was unacceptable. For now two of them would just sleep in one, until a third bed could be brought in. Likely her and Mindee, but it didn’t matter. For the time being it was an arrangement that would make due. She ran her hand over the heavy blanket on the bed, feeling the texture under her finger tips, before turning to sink down on it. The room was nice, but simple and undecorated. The idea to split up an explore before unpacking passed between the three of them, now that their guide had left them to their own devices, and their parents were headed away from them. Moving from her place on the bed, she nodded to the other two, before heading out across the grounds, letting the knowledge of what her sisters were seeing fade to the back of her mind, a visual white noise as she focused on what was in front of her. | |||||||||
